Efficient Water Heaters, Inc. is a California licensed water heater service company (CSLB #1008381) based in San Jose, California. We provide tank, tankless, heat-pump, residential, and commercial water heater repair, installation, replacement, and maintenance across San Jose and the South Bay.

Website use

You may use this site for informational purposes, to learn about our services, to submit estimate requests, and to contact us. Do not use this site to upload unlawful content, attempt to disrupt the site, scrape data at scale, or impersonate another person.

Phone estimates and photo estimates

Phone estimates and photo-based estimates are preliminary only. They are intended to help you understand likely options, scope, and ballpark direction before a technician arrives. They are not a binding final quote.

Final scope and pricing for water heater repair, installation, or replacement may require an on-site inspection. Conditions that change scope include: gas-line sizing, venting access, condensate routing, electrical capacity, framing or drywall changes, drain pan and overflow paths, expansion tanks, seismic strapping, permit requirements, and hidden corrosion or leaks discovered on arrival.

Accuracy of your information

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and photos you submit. Inaccurate model numbers, missing photos, or incomplete descriptions can change the actual scope and price of work compared to a phone estimate.

Service availability

We aim to provide same-day service during our business hours of Open 24/7 whenever our schedule allows. Same-day availability depends on the day, current job load, parts availability, and the nature of your issue. Same-day service is not guaranteed unless we have confirmed an arrival window with you directly.

We do not advertise emergency or 24/7 service unless we have specifically confirmed this with you.

Permits and code compliance

Water heater replacements in San Jose generally require a permit and inspection covering seismic strapping, venting, expansion tank, drain pan, and proper gas or electrical connections. We perform installs to current code. If you decline a required permit, we may decline the job.

Warranty

Manufacturer warranties on water heater equipment vary by brand, model, and registration. Workmanship warranties on installed work are confirmed in writing at the time of service. Repairs and parts may carry shorter terms than full installations.

No medical or emergency advice

Content on this website is general information about water heaters, code, and rule changes. It is not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a licensed contractor. Program description and use cases: Efficient Water Heaters, Inc. operates two opt-in SMS programs sent from a U.S. 10DLC business number:

• Transactional / customer care: appointment confirmations, technician arrival and ETA updates, estimate replies, dispatch and rescheduling notices, invoice and warranty follow-ups, and replies to questions you send us.
• Marketing / promotional: seasonal water-heater maintenance reminders, rebate and tax-credit alerts, and occasional special offers. Marketing SMS is fully optional and is never required to receive service.

How to opt in: You opt in only by checking one of the SMS consent boxes on an Efficient Water Heaters form, or by texting START to our business number. Providing a phone number on a form is not by itself consent.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not receive further messages in that program. You may opt back in by replying START.

Carrier liability: Carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is not guaranteed.

Age restriction: The SMS program is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By opting in, you represent that you are at least 18 and that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission to use the mobile number provided.

Privacy: Mobile information and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Efficient Water Heaters is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website or from reliance on a preliminary phone or photo estimate. Our total liability for any claim related to the use of this website is limited to the amount you paid for related services in the 12 months before the claim.

Intellectual property

The content, design, photography, and branding on this site are the property of Efficient Water Heaters or used with permission. Do not reproduce site content for commercial use without written permission.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
